TRAVEL OPTIONS

FERRIES

The most direct route from the south of England is Portsmouth - Caen (Ouistreham). From Ouistreham the journey to Parçay-les-Pins takes 3 - 4 hours.

Other French ports with ferries from Portsmouth are St Malo, Cherbourg, Le Havre and (from Plymouth) Roscoff.

You may prefer to choose a shorter Channel crossing or the Eurotunnel. The journey from Calais to Le Moulin Verneau (approx. 5-6 hours) has been improved by new roads around Rouen and the extension of the A28 to Tours.

TRAIN

There are fast train links from Paris to Tours and Angers, and it is possible to travel to Saumur, via TGV and TER in under 2 hours.

AIRPORTS

The nearest airports are Tours, Poitiers and Nantes. Tours airport is less than an hour's drive and there are flights from London Stansted by Ryanair.
